Amateur Observatories
Note: This is a list of
observatories that have caught my eye or either I know them through networking.
To view an incredible list of
amateur observatories, please visit Bill Arnett's site: Amateur
Astronomical Observatories.
* Dogwood
Ridge Observatory. Friend, Steve Reilly's Observatory. Very nice setup
and incredible images.
* Peter's
Astronomy Pages. Good guy and a great website. Nice choice of
telescopes, too.
* Arkansas
Sky Observatories. This is the website of the one-and-only, Dr.
Clay. It is packed with practical guides for both amateur and professional
observers and observatories. He has a very cool observatory, BTW.
* The
Naked Astronomer. Yep, that's right. Check it out. Nice um
. . . Website.
* M.T.S.O
Astronomy Page and Observatory.
* Tim
and Becky's Deep Space Imaging and Astrophotography Page.
* Robert
Reeves' Celestial Photography and Observatory.

videos on how his observatory was built.
* Ptolemy's
Observatory. Very cool observatory design.
* Mike
Sherick's 2 Observatories, Sagrada and J. Milburn Smith Memorial Observatories. A
must see. This will inspire you, or make you drool.
* The
Urban Observatory by John R. Crilly. Cool observatory built into the
roof of a garage, great engineering. Great articles, images, and astro-music videos! A must see
website!
* Antonio
Fernandez Astrophotography Azor Observatory. Nice equipment, incredible
images mostly taken with narrow-band emission-line imaging.
